Welcome to the HST 112
Course Design Toolkit
Course description: A survey course that will cover the time period from c.1350 C.E. to the present with an emphasis on the historical changes in the world from late Medieval values, beliefs and institutions to the modern world. A new global connection will also be emphasized as the world is drawn more tightly together through European outreach, colonization and war. This interaction will draw out different points of view as people struggle to reconcile their beliefs and traditions with unfamiliar groups and institutions. A focus will also be placed upon revolution, nationalism and industrialization to help explain changes in group behavior and social organization with an emphasis on the rights of individuals in society.
