If you do not have Microsoft Word but instead have Microsoft Works or Word Perfect you will need to save your files as [[Media:SaveAsRTF.pdf |rich text format (.RTF) documents.]]

A VoiceThread is a collaborative, interactive, multimedia slide show that holds images, documents, and videos. It allows people to view and create a presentation and leave comments in 5 ways: using voice (with a microphone or telephone), text, audio file, or video (via a webcam). Typically, users would have to register for an account in VoiceThread, but BCC has purchased and integrated VoiceThread with everyone's accessBCC accounts. To log into [http://bristolcc.voicethread.com VoiceThread], just use your accessBCC username and password.

This is because that even though Microsoft Works, Microsoft Word and Word Perfect all create documents they have difficulty reading each other’s files. Saving your documents in RTF form will allow you (and your instructor) to easily access your work – regardless of what program it was created in!
